Budoc

Each rock bore a name that Budoc would learn later. Once past the island of Logodec, Ronan took his bearings carefully to avoid the reefs concealed by the tide. They had to navigate between Lavredig and Roc’h Kontron, then follow Roc’h Hir a-bell, then Roc’h Hir a-Dost, before reaching the eastern tip of the island of Lavrec at Pen Ar Hoadic. At last, they headed toward the bay that formed a natural harbor on the eastern coast of Lavrec. There, the currach gently ran aground on the shingle: they had arrived!

Budoc set foot on the island of Lavrec with the feeling that he had finally reached his destination, even though everything still remained to be built. He knelt and blessed the place in a gesture of great simplicity. Meanwhile, his companions were already busy unloading the boat’s belongings. Budoc turned around and saw Gurwan clumsily climbing down from the currach with the chest… Budoc rushed forward to catch it before it fell into the water.
